Adult CPR/AED
The Adult CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help injured adults (about 12 years and older). Students who successfully complete this course will receive an American Red Cross certification for Adult CPR/AED valid for two years.
Adult First Aid/CPR/AED
The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help injured adults (about 12 years and older). Students who successfully complete this course will receive an American Red Cross certification for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help injured people of any age – adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive an American Red Cross certification for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
Blended Learning Classes
The Blended Learning Classes have basic information taught On-Line and the skill portion is practiced in a classroom setting. The On-Line portion takes 3 – 4 hours to complete and can be done anytime. Proof of completion of the On-Line portion is required to attend the skill portion.
BLS (Basic Life Support)
The BLS class ensure that individuals with a duty to respond (public safety professionals and healthcare providers) have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child and infant patients. Completion of the cognitive assessment On-Line must be completed before attending the practical assessment.
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Class
The purpose of the First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor class is to train instructors to teach the basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED courses. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and possess a current American Red Cross basic-level certification in First Aid, and Adult and Pediatric CPR and AED, or equivalent certification. This is a 2-day class.
The instructor course is offered in a blended learning format which includes an online introduction to the First Aid/CPR/AED instructor course to be completed before the first classroom session. The online introduction includes an orientation to the American Red Cross, an overview of the First Aid/CPR/AED instructor course, as well as content on how to prepare and teach the courses. The classroom component consists of Pre-course Skills Session and three course sessions that include practice-teaching assignments
